I liked the first book in the series. I decided to buy the second book in the series when it was on sale. I was honestly disappointed in this book. I started out liking Eric, but I really hated when he was like "Here is what a gentleman would do" and then did the opposite. It was supposed to be cute and appealing, but I found it disturbing. The kissing also was a bit much in this book. I don't mind some kissing, but I found the kissing in this book to be a bit much, and it worried me a couple of times how far the characters would go.I DID like Hope with her secret knitting and Riverdance obsession. I DID like the fact that faith did play a role in the story. I also liked how Eric encouraged Hope to contact her sisters. This wasn't a bad story, just not my favorite.

Enjoyable follow-up to the last one. Easy read and flows well. I am happy to recommend.
Highly recommend all her books. This series is especially good for the 3 sisters Faith, Hope, and Charity because they all struggle with the same personal feelings but have hidden themselves from each other due to them losing their Mom at such young ages. Love that she puts romance into her books in a good, God-declaring way. Excellent examples!
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed and believable. If you like good romance stories you will love this one. I would love to read another book by this author. The main character Hope has her share of personal struggles but with Eric's help she works through them splendidly.

I absolutely loved the humor of this book! There were many places I laughed out loud! But I really enjoyed Eric's encouragment toward Hope's reconciling with her sisters! What a neat guy! I highly recommend this series!
I have just discovered this author and I love her books! As a Christian, so many romances are not fit to read but you can count on Bonnie Blythe's books being an awesome read without worrying about questionable scenes! This is the third of her books I have read and I finished it in one day! I can't put her books down. They are an easy read and have a good story line. I loved the characters in this book and I am going to read the third book in this series now! Thank you, Ms. Blythe for writing such good Christian romance novels!

Bayward Heart is the second book in the Cascade Brides series and I loved it as much as A Rock and a Hard Place and Project Love. Bayward Heart focused on Hope one of the twins and was just delightful, at times you just wanted to shake the girl and what she might lose with all her avoiding commitment and you just fall in love with Eric and pray he will win the girls heart. This is just a great read as the other 2 books are and you will smile, laugh and cry your way thru it. Get all three and read in order (I missed 2 and read 3 out of order) they are truly delightful christian books.
Bonnie Blythe's characters are unabashedly Christian...and kind of messed up. Bayward Heart is Christian Romance, but that doesn't mean answers are easy or evident for Blythe's characters.
One of the Cascade Brides Series sisters (this is about Hope, as in Faith, Hope, and Charity) owns a boat, but is scared of the water. Without it, she is a paycheck away from living in her car. But when the white knight arrives, she doesn't believe him, doesn't trust him, and can't survive without him.
A very engaging story of likable characters set on the rugged Oregon coast where weather can destroy careers, or force together unlikely allies.
Well-written and edited, I enjoyed this book right up to the last word.
