I was so looking forward to coloring this book. I love the Chronicles of Narnia and have read the series three times. However, the artist makes the pictures too dark to be colored nicely. I was very disappointed. I was going to give this as a Christmas present but as I said, the pages are too full of black ink to allow for nice coloring. It came to me earlier than I thought, and let me tell you is it beautiful. I can't wait to get into coloring this in, all the art is gorgeous. They even look awesome not colored in )
The majority of this book highlights the illustrations I found least memorable.
I really enjoy this coloring even though some of the images have too much ink considering they're meant to be colored but still found it worth the purchase.
The illustrations are set up as tiny summaries of each book in order, very cool. And of course the pictures are the gorgeous ones from the original books. Recommended for Narnia fans.
Any Narnia fan should get this. It's full of Pauline Baynes art that you get to color. how much cooler can you get! I got 3 copies one for me, ne for my mom, and one for my sister )
This is by far one of the most beautiful coloring books that I've ever seen. I didn't realize that the illustrations were from the original illustrator, from the books that I read as a kid. They are all absolutely gorgeous, and the quotes that are included throughout the book were spot on. Truly a superior product. I bought it as a gift for a dear friend, but I might have to purchase one for myself. The price seemed a bit high to me at first, but, after receiving the product, it was worth every penny.
I have always loved the Chronicles of Narnia and have a copy of the book from when I was a boy in the early 70's that has a lot of these drawing in it. My kids also really got into the Chronicles. So, when I saw this coloring book I immediately knew that I wanted it so my kids could enjoy adding their own touch and flair to the images. They quickly colored through the whole book and were asking for a second so they could go through it again.
